Djokovic’s reflections on Grand Slam pursuit
Novak Djokovic’s quest for a record-extending 25th Grand Slam title ended in the semi-finals of Wimbledon 2026, where he lost to Jannik Sinner in straight sets. The 39-year-old Serbian was defeated with a score of 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. Following his exit, Djokovic expressed frustration regarding the constant discussion surrounding his pursuit of a 25th major title.
Djokovic highlighted that the focus on a specific number, such as 25 Grand Slams, had become burdensome, not only from the media but also from those in his close circle. He stated that while he desires to achieve the milestone, it is not his ultimate goal.
